How do I embed an e-footer using Outlook?
The following article explains how to embed an image file as your Outlook email signature. To ensure this works correctly, you must have the image file saved on your system before proceeding. The following instructions are based on Microsoft Outlook 2003, but can be applied to older versions of Microsoft Outlook as well.
To embed an image as part of your Outlook email signature, follow these steps:
- In Outlook, click the 'Tools' menu, select 'Options' then select the 'Mail Format' tab:
- Press the 'Signatures' button and then click 'New'.
- Enter a name for your new signature.
- If the text portion (i.e. contact details) of your signature will remain the same as a previous signature, select 'Use this existing signature as a template:' and select the appropriate signature. Otherwise, select 'Start with a blank signature'. Click 'Next'.

- In the Edit Signature window, position your cursor where you would like your image to appear and right-click the mouse. Select 'Insert Image'. Browse to where you have saved the image file on your computer and select it.

- Once your image has been inserted and positioned correctly, click 'Finish'.
- In the 'Mail Format' tab (see Image #1), ensure that your new signature is selected in the 'Signatures' section.
