26 August 2015 | Graphic Design

Kanda Residences, one of our website design clients, approached us for the design of a menu for their fantastic beachfront restaurant: RockPool. Ultimately, we came up with a newspaper-style look and feel for the menu. Have a look at the result below:

Outlet Logo for AVANI Seychelles Barbarons Resort & Spa

17 November 2014 | Graphic Design, Logo Design

We were recently tasked with preparing a set of logos for three food & beverage outlets at the new AVANI Seychelles Barbarons Resort & Spa.  The first of the three logos was for their lobby bar/lounge named Gravity.

Needless to say, there’s a lot that can be associated with the word “gravity” so it was fun coming up with a range of designs that would in some way relate to the word.  Ultimately though, we wanted to focus on “gravity” as a force of attraction, i.e. a place where guests would be drawn to (or gravitate towards) and also a place where people meet (get together).

Here’s a look at the final logo that was chosen.

Dollars for Deeds Logo Design

25 December 2013 | Graphic Design, Logo Design

Anantara Hotels, Resort & Spas recently launched ‘Dollars For Deeds‘ – an initiative which invites guests to donate USD $1 a night during their stay to raise funds for a range of worthy causes.  Prior to the launch of the program, we were approached to design the new Dollars for Deeds logo.

We must admit, the brief was a little tricky… in a few words: make it casual and somehow include an elephant and turtle into the logo!  And it became even more of a challenge when we were asked to add a child into the logo as well.

What you see above is the final version of the logo designed by Zighead Communications (with a little letterpress styling added for effect)!

Logo Design: Events Travel Asia

27 March 2013 | Graphic Design, Logo Design

Zighead Communications was recently contracted to develop a logo as well as other brand collateral for a newly formed Events & Travel company based in Bangkok.

Now that the logo has been finalized, we thought we’d get a little creative with a few photorealistic mockups.  Take a look…

We’ve fallen in love with putting together picture-perfect floor plans! From hotel rooms to palatial villas, resort maps to spas, there’s an endless variety to the floor plans our customers request from us. Our graphic design team has had to learn a little about architectural plans along way, but they’re quick learners and are now putting together professional, full-color floor plans in no time.

Here’s a little bit about the process involved… Continue reading »

The Fast, Cheap & Great Conundrum

20 April 2012 | Graphic Design, Website Design

This infographic by Colin Harman has been around quite a while, but because its so well-designed and accurate we thought we’d share it again. And yes folks, it applies equally well to web design as it does to graphic design (or bridge building, for that matter).
